The Mel 2026
The Mel Douglass Memorial Golf Outing
celebrated our 22nd annual event on Saturday, August 8, 2026 at Manor Valley Golf Course.
We had copious amounts of rain prior to The Mel Outing, including two inches the night before.
In spite of having to close hole #11 due to flooding and fish from nearby streams stranded in the fairway,
The Mel was able to get all 115 golfers off at 1:30 p.m. for our shotgun start.
No rain fell the rest of the day and all things considered, the course was in good condition.
Because of the generosity of the golfers, tee sponsors and many others,
well over $10,000 was raised in Mel’s honor.
Next year’s outing will be August 14, 2027 at Manor Valley,
with a shotgun start at 1:30 p.m. We hope to see you there!
